Madder Hatter Bandana
Madder Hatter Bandana
Each of these bandanas has been hand-dyed with organic beets and madder root from my stovetop. They range from light peach to bright pink, each one standing strong to its own uniqueness.
They have each been individually block printed 15 times to achieve their funky design. The central block is a 12x12” lino cut, and the tiny corner vine detail is actually comprised of six 1” block prints. They are all a little different, just like us. <3
100% organic cotton
Rubia cordifolia
Playfully hand-dyed with Indian madder root. Madder grows wild throughout India, south east Asia, Europe, Africa, and Japan. Its roots have been used in Ayurvedic medicine for more than 3000 years, tying into mind-body-spirit wellness. It has also been used in traditional Tibetan medicine to redistribute heat in the body for various blood disorders. Its tones range from oranges and reds, to pinks and browns, depending on pH balance and temperature of vat.

Care: Handwash only, hang to dry. It is ok to iron, that will actually set the ink in to last even longer.
