Women’s Small

Thrifted in Monterey, California, originally by Faherty. Hand-dyed with quebracho.

Schinopsis balansae
Quebracho is extracted from a hardwood evergreen tree that grows wild in South America. Its name comes from “quebrar” and “hacha” meaning “axe-breaker” in spanish. It yields a variety of colors depending on pH, but I was able to achieve a dusty rose / purple for these tees.

Read up on the importance of natural dyes + sustainable production in the textile industry.

*Care note: Natural dyes will fade over time with excessive sunlight and washings. Wash sparingly, lay flat to dry. Store out of direct sunlight.
