I was walking down a side street of a touristy beach town in Mexico, Sayulita, when I passed the most perfectly hand-painted door. It had white paneled wood, and featured a bright red heart. It was so simple, and so sweet. The message was clear - the world needs more love and compassion. It sounds cliché, but it's true.
The Humanitarian Tee was inspired by that Mexican door, combined with my mother's antique medicine cabinet which has an old plus sign, the international symbol for aid, painted on its glass front. The heart aid print is dedicated to raising funds for our brothers and sisters who need our help. At the end of the day, we have it okay here in the States, even though it feels otherwise. We have our basic needs met, and for that, we need to be grateful.
